Eleven-year-old Naomi Shaw believed in magic. Together with her best friends Cassidy and Olivia, she spent the summer wandering through the woods and imagining a world of rituals and wonders. The girls called it playing goddesses. But that carefree summer came to an abrupt end when one of them was attacked. Naomi suffered seventeen stab wounds and miraculously survived, but she was able to identify her attacker. Thanks to the girls' testimony, a serial killer wanted for six crimes was put behind bars. The friends became heroes. However, two of them turned out to be liars, and the third remembered only the pain of the knife wounds...
